The recipients of the 2018 Barbara Chatfield Award for Academic Achievement will be revealed at the 20th Annual Taste of Utah Gala & Auction on November 3 at the Grand America Hotel. We are so proud of these five students and hope you will be there when we announce their names!

The words in the title of this post are inscribed on the chapel wall at the Normandy Memorial, which is about 170 miles from the American Hospital in Paris where Barb was born. The words are a fitting tribute to the sacrifices of the Americans who lost their lives in the D-Day landings and ensuing operations. When I learned of the inscription, the words provided inspiration for me to create this site, in hopes of "remembering the glory of Barb's spirit". And she truly had a glorious spirit!
